Rather than trying to tackle everything all at once, sometimes it’s better to start with a little and watch your pile grow. So I challenge you to think about a goal or promise you want to make to yourself this year that is centered around doing more of something or less of something, like “eat less sugar/candy” or “work out more”. Then, pick one day this week that you will do more or less (or perhaps none for certain things like eating less sugar/candy) of that something.
But don’t stop there, keep it going! When doing this one day a week becomes a breeze, it’s time to up the ante and go to two days a week, and so on.
